DEPRESSION therapy in Kailua, Hawaii

Learn to thrive in life, rather than just watch it happen.

When depression sets in, it puts you into “survival mode” and takes you out of “living mode.”

  • “I constantly feel like I am not good enough.”

  • “I can’t think, and my mind just feels blank.”

  • “I’m a failure.”

  • “I want to be the best version of “me” again. I feel like I’ve lost myself.”

  • “I’m just really tired, and I want to shut down.”

Can you relate? Are you functioning at 5% battery and cannot find the damn charger? Therapy can help.

Depression can make you feel empty with sad thoughts that pop up like a screen saver…constantly in the background and always ready to make an appearance. It can be difficult to explain how you feel when you are depressed as there are no words that can describe the intensely negative experience you are going through.

And depression doesn’t always look like someone unable to care for themselves…lying in bed all day and crying frequently. It can also show up when you are actively living life, out to dinner with friends in the middle of laughing, during an important work meeting, and in the morning when you feel overwhelmed by the day’s tasks.

I’m here to support you through this time.

Despite what depression tells you, recovery is possible.

Take a moment to imagine what life could look like if you were free of depression and all that comes with it. You can feel like “you” again, start participating and be present for the moments in your life, look forward to the future with excitement, rather than dread, and experience a clear logical mindset that propels you forward. Can you see it? I certainly can!

What we’ll work on:

  • Identifying triggers that can help prevent downward spirals

  • Exploring depressive thoughts that are often distorted and related to negativity and loss, as well as how you view yourself, the world, and others around you

  • Identifying unhealthy “go-to” coping skills that are keeping you stuck and replace with those that are helpful

  • Exploring your core beliefs that are deeply ingrained and serve as a filter in how you perceive things
